Pediatric Anatomy

A lot of people are unaware of the different groups of children, be it a new born, an infant or a child, they put every little being under the category of ‘child’. The groups include,

  • Neonates – A 44-week old fetus from the time of conception
  • Infants – A 12-months old baby
  • Child – Within an age of 1-12
  • Adolescent – Between the age of 13-16 years
In order to avoid being confused among a baby and a child, pediatric anatomy is considered. Babies are extremely delicate little beings who require immense care and nourishment for proper growth. A new born baby doesn’t have every organ completely developed; it develops with time. The immune system also needs healthy help to become strong enough to fight with harmful foreign bodies later.
