Not all sources will say the same though, according to Wikipedia, the country works the most hours per week on average in Mexico. Regardless of the data source, theses statistics serve as a reminder that there are millions of people around the world that are required to work a lot more hours per week to make a living than people in the United States and the United Kingdom. 

Which Countries have the best laws and regulations regarding work hours and compensation? It turns out the best places to work in the world are in the northern European countries. in order of fewest average hours to most average hours, the countries at the best end of the list are as follows: Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, France, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
