The hand of the law must also reach the domain of the world wide web to safeguard these virtual records.This hand is the Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI)'s Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS).
To further their agenda, CJIS is fighting online crime by collecting online information from various law enforcement agencies and then enforcing strict enforcement requirements and standards. These standards are made up of 12 security policy areas that different messaging vendors must meet successfully.
