Are you recycling properly? A lot of the time people will just chuck any old thing with a recycling symbol into the recycling bin without stopping to consider whether it really belongs there. One too many contaminated loads could turn the tide of profitability in your local recycling center, leading to an end to recycling in your area. If you truly want to prevent recyclable materials from going into the landfill, you have to do the extra work to avoid contaminating the waste stream.
