According to data from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, there are approximately 917,771 registered sex offenders within the United States and its surrounding territories. Breaking it down further, that's 279 registered sex offenders for every 100,000 people. Across the country, the largest percentage of sex offenders can be found in Oregon, at an alarming rate of 688 for every 100,000 people.

Maryland has the least of any state in America at a rate of 125 for every 100,000 residents. This infographic from SecurityBaron.com takes a look at 125 major cities across the United States to give you a ratio of sex offenders to the non-offenders, ultimately showing you where the highest concentrations of sex offenders are located.
