A new Microsoft Windows 11 update has rolled out to Windows Insiders on the Beta Channel, which shows an “interactive cards” setting on the homepage. This will enable users to quickly hop from one setting to another including device personalization, Bluetooth controls, account recovery, etc.

Microsoft first introduced Interactive cards back in June. There are a total of seven cards within the functionality, which will expand to more in the future, according to the company.

Another update will recommended settings in the form of shortcuts that a user regularly uses. Additionally, a dedicated section will show users the status of cloud storage in their OneDrive, along with their subscription statuses for Microsoft 365 and Xbox.

Recommended settings based on a user's patterns of usage

There is another addition that Windows 11 users could look forward to: the Windows Backup app. Microsoft announced the app in May, explaining that it would help you with backing up your PC when you are about to use a new one. It will not only automatically apply a PC’s existing settings to the new PC, but will also transfer shortcuts of apps pinned on the desktop, Start menu, and taskbar. The shortcuts would then either link you to the Microsoft Store or to the developer’s website from where you can reinstall the apps.

Lastly, Microsoft is also bringing a minor update to its Dynamic Lighting feature that will match your Windows accent colour with your peripherals and PC components, and set custom colours for your devices.

These features will be available in the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22631.2262, which is now rolling out to the Beta Channel.
