When the COVID-19 pandemic hit worldwide, the hospitality industry was one of several that took major hits. However, since then, the industry has rebounded and is thriving, so much so that some hotel chains have expanded quite a bit the last couple of years.
The team at Decorative Ceiling Tiles recently analyzed hotel data to determine the biggest hotel chains in the world, ranked by the number of locations. Based on their research and the data, this list includes what would be the 20 biggest hotel chains in the world. According to the data, it was found that the biggest hotel chain worldwide would be Jin Jiang International, which as of 2021 had 11,959 hotel locations globally, which was actually an 11% increase from the year prior in 2020. Other hotels with more locations than the rest include popular hotel chains like Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (9,280 locations), Marriott International (8,484 locations), and H World Group Limited (8,176 locations).
