Ikea has launched a new digital service that lets people take opinions and help from the company’s interior designers in planning how to renovate their space. The service costs $99 for a room and $299 in a business setting.
To utilize the service, you must make an appointment first, then fill a survey that helps designers determine your preferences and requirements. In the final creative stage, the designer will construct a mood board and generate a 3D image of your space where they will put together the materials, furnishing, and lighting. If you want to make any purchases of the items used, the designer will select them for you that you will just need to pay for.
After the process is done and you need help with setting up
the purchased furniture, then using Ikea’s TaskRabbit service, you can have its
workers construct the pieces for you.
Ikea also provides a virtual design platform ‘Kreativ
Tools,’ where you can have your furniture virtually replaced with Ikea’s to
visualize how it would look in your space. Additionally, the company separately
offers a kitchen design service, available both in store (starting at $39 for
two hours of planning), as well as on-site ($199 for three-hour).
