Sports franchises around the world, no matter the league, are owned by notable billionaires and millionaires. The research team at Madison Trust took a look at who the richest sports owners are worldwide, mainly ranking the top 30 richest individuals, along with their worths and what professional sports franchises they own. According to their research, it was found that the richest owner in all of sports is Steve Ballmer, who is worth an estimated $91.4 billion and owns the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Of the thirty richest owners featured on this infographic, seven of them are owners of NBA franchises, with the other six including Charles Dolan of the New York Knicks, Tom Gores of the Detroit Pistons, Micky Arison of the Miami Heat, Stan Kroenke of the Denver Nuggets, Joseph Tsai of the Brooklyn Nets, Robert Pera of the Memphis Grizzlies, and Daniel Gilbert of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
