YouGov conducted a survey regarding the most admired men and women in the world and the poll results were quite interesting. The infographic below reveals the ranking from 2015 to 2021 and the shifting of the positions among the influencers. There are some common names that we can expect to be topping the list but there are some surprising entries as well.
On the list of the most admired people across the world, the person ranking at the first position is Barack Obama. He ranked at the 2nd position consecutively since 2015 and traded the position with Bill Gates and rested on top since 2020. Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft on the other hand was on top since 2015 and fell to the 2nd position in 2020 and is still there. Followed by a former Chinese president, Xi Jinping on the third as the most admired personality.
Some other names among the top 10 most admired men in the world include football stars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Whereas, Narendra Modi, the Indian Prime Minister having a rollercoaster ride in the ranking, is also seen in the list.
When it comes to the top admired women, the list is led by Obama’s spouse, Michelle Obama who ranked at 5th during the years 2015 and 2016. However, in 2018, she made a leap to the 2nd position and by 2019 she was at the 1st rank and is still there. Followed by Angelina Jolie at second and Queen Elizabeth II at the third. Other top names include Scarlett Johansson, Malala Yousafzai, Emma Watson, and more.
