Facebook launches new ‘Professional Mode for Profiles’

Since the holiday season is around the corner and more people are likely to have time on their hands to make a presence on the internet. On the other hand, it means more audience as well to engage with your content. Therefore, all the creators will work their best to create content with new perspectives and try out different things.

Considering these facts, Facebook made a push to provide more opportunities to the creators on the platform with the rollout of ‘Professional Mode for Profiles’. This mode is basically an alternative platform for the existing as well as new emerging creators to connect with the audience.

Facebook explained:

“We know that many creators - especially those who are just starting out - are on profiles, so from today, we’re announcing the roll-out of a new professional mode for profiles. The Professional mode will open up access to post, audience, and profile insights, as well as give easy access to monetization features – all in one place.”
This means that the creators won’t have to move to the professional Pages and enable the Professional Profile Mode instead to have better insights on the posts' engagements and performance. Moreover, you can also turn off the Professional Profile Mode anytime you want.

Moreover, to provide a comprehensive and in-depth overview of the performance of your page including audience and data insights, Facebook also added a Professional Dashboard for the content creators. From here, the creators can also check the information regarding Bonuses and Stars received by the audience.

Facebook’s new tactics in the battle of content creation on social media are highly appreciable. But, since the company has a lot of competitors with a huge audience, would it be able to attract young content creators and audiences back on the platform?
