The use of solar power to run homes and businesses has been growing in popularity in more recent years, especially as the world shifts towards more Eco-friendly practices. Every state in the U.S. has the capacity to power homes off just solar energy alone, although some states are far more capable of doing this on a much larger scale than others. The team at SolarPower.guide wanted to know what percentage of the households each state would be able to power based on its current capacity of installed solar energy systems. Using information gathered from the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), they created a map highlighting the states that would be able to power the most homes. It may come as no surprise that some of the sunniest states in the country were found to rank the highest when it came to their ability to power the highest percentage of homes. Which states would you expect to see at the bottom of the list?
