Innersloth's super hit of 2020, Among Us, was launched back in June 2018 on iOS and Android devices and in November 2018 for Windows but has gained incredible fame in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company has now finally released the game for Nintendo Switch and is likely to feature a crossplay.
Since Among Us can be played in multiplayer mode and you can add up to 10 of your friends, people are enjoying it to a great extent. The number of Among Us users peaked during COVID-19 and reached 430+K active users. Thousands of online streamers play Among Us with their other streamer friends and broadcast it live on Twitch, which has a viewership of billions. The majority of the people connect on a voice call with their friends on a digital messaging application, Discord, so that they can communicate during the game.
Among Us is a deduction game with one, two, or three impostors (based on the custom settings by the users), and the rest are the crewmates. No one knows who the impostor(s) or the crewmates are; the impostor's goal is to kill everyone on the map quietly while the crewmates complete all their tasks.
Due to the sensation that Among Us received, Innersloth canceled the sequel of the game and focused on improving the original one. The game has also won the award for 'Best Multiplayer Game' for 2020.
