Google’s Messages Apps for Web now have an Emoji Reaction Feature - Visualistan -->

    Social Items

Google has released a new feature for its messaging apps for web, with which users can react to messages in both private and group chats. The reaction can be chosen from 7 emojis, including the thumbs up, thumbs down, angry face, sad, wow/surprised, laugh out loud with tears, and heart eyes emojis.

The feature was already available to Android users on web messaging apps, and is now rolling out for the Google messaging apps.

Replying to messages using a reaction in the form of an emoji is a fun and quick way of expressing yourself to someone in response to a message. One limitation of this feature is that you can not reply to one message with two reactions, as the second reaction will replace the first one.

On the Google web messaging app, you will find two different icons, including one of emoji and the other of three colons, from where you can find other related options.

In order to access the reaction feature, you don’t have to update the apps, as the feature has already been enabled in the existing versions for both iOS and Android devices.

It is reported that Google will soon also be providing the end-to-end encryption support to its messaging apps.
