Apple watch has become very popular since its release in
2014. Of course, there have been many changes and upgrades made to the original
version but the version we have today is certainly making a statement. Apple pretty
much set a benchmark in the smartwatch industry and today, it has become a big
seller in the world – posing a real threat to the traditional watch makers.
Apple’s smartwatch success has a story to tell on its own. However,
it can also be determined by the fact that the tech giant shipped around 30.7
million Apple watches around the world. This number is bigger than the entire
Swiss watch industry who shipped over 21 million products during the same
period. This is a clear indication that Apple is not only a name in the tech
industry but has also made its way into the smartwatch industry.
Smartwatches are especially popular among the younger
generations. The tech savvy generation are more inclined on buying smartwatches
than regular analog watches. However, analog watches still remain popular. However,
with the advancement of time, they may not be very popular. The traditional
watch makers are losing the smartwatch war.
