A pucket game is one of the most exciting two-player games out there. It's kind of a board game and portable, so you can easily play it anywhere, as per your convenience. The pucks used in this game are basically the kind of discs that are used in air hockey. But of course, these are slightly smaller and thicker.
The idea of the game is simple, yet thrilling There is a small hole in the middle, through which you have to get your pucks to the opponent's side. You have to throw the pucks to the other side with the help of a cord, which acts as a catapult. What makes it exciting is that players don't take turns to get their pucks onto the other player's side. It all happens in a haste and simultaneously. In order to win, you need to send back the pucks coming at your side of the board. In short, you have to make sure your side of the board is completely free of pucks— Both your and your opponent's.
The good news is that with a couple of materials in hand, you can build your very own pucket game! You will need the following materials that you can get from any hardware store:
- Construction lumber
- Wood dowel rod
- Bungee cord
- Finish nails
The pucks don't vary in colour, so it's all about getting your side free of it. Follow the instructions in the infographic below to get started with your own DIY pucket game. Have fun getting all the pucks to the other side!
