Companies that made the largest donations in the fight against inequality

The recent protests that broke out worldwide in support of black lives caused many top Fortune companies to make the largest lump sum donations in solidarity. The death of George Floyd took the entire world by storm, and the whole world erupted in chaos to seek justice for the black lives. While the whole world was protesting against the deeply rooted inequality in the US and other big states, these companies declared positive statements through social media to offer their support, and while these companies made a difference by pledging money, there also exist companies that did not respond to this inequality issue in fear of getting their reputation tarnished.

Contributions made by Fortune 100 companies

In this fight, these companies pledged over millions of dollars to stand firm with the victims. In the infographic below, a list of Fortune 100 companies made it to the list that took a major step to stand with the oppressed. Out of 100 big companies, 42 pledged a total amount of $1.6 billion to support the cause out of which the company that made the most contribution i.e., $1 billion to the charity is the Bank of America. The next big companies on the list that made the same size of donations i.e., $100 million, are Walmart, Comcast, and Apple.
