The definition of a celebrity has far outgrown someone who is only a crowd-puller in real. While that may remain a part of what defines a celebrity, there's so much more which makes a person an icon. We have many small and big celebrities today, thanks to social media. Social media has given people a major capacity to portray their talent but there is a downside that comes with every opportunity. Money is not the ultimate answer to humans' emotions and it cannot be defined as the only thing that matters in life.
With the rise of social media, many people opt to gain fame just for the sake of it. They want their name to look cool, they want to be known and they can go to any extent for it, so far as to posting vulgar or inappropriate photos. This is not to say that all celebrities have the same intentions, but there are some gems among the famous crowd, who by all means have their feet firmly on the ground, despite their popularity.
Thus in a world where even kindness is being broadcasted for profit, it is really important to remember that there are people who are helping others behind the scenes. We may always never get to know about their acts of kindness or the news may reach to us indirectly. Either way, appreciating them and getting inspired by them is key.
