Last month, India and America banned TikTok. Recently, another news broke that Japan is also looking into the matter of banning TikTok nationwide. A few days ago, India restricted more than 40 Chinese applications. Japan, now following India, is seeking to ban other Chinese-made applications in their country. The main idea of banning Chinese applications ascended from the Unites States.
In the Apple Store of Japanese users, TikTok was always the list topping application in the entertainment category and ranked as fifth amongst the top-most downloaded apps all over the country. Due to the Japanese act of banning TikTok, a spokesperson from TikTok came forward and said that there is massive misinformation roaming around the globe about TikTok. He also added that the CEO of TikTok is an American and also an American team that develops security infrastructures. He also clarifies that data of TikTok users from the U.S. is stored in the U.S. and Singapore with top-notch security, which cannot be accessed easily.
