J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson stepped into the shoes of giants when they embraced the seat of the director for the production of the nine-part Skywalk Saga latest episodes. J.J. Abrams helmed Star Wars: The Awakens Force (2015) and The Skywalker Rise (2019), and Rian Johnson directed Star Wars: Episode VIII–The Last Jedi(2017). Altogether, 5 directors over 42 years have told us a tale on the silver screen with rich characters and dramatic swings of the pendulum of power.

A saga for the ages of anthology installments Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Solo: A Star Wars Story that extended beyond the nine core films. This franchise has successfully connected through generational lines to become the Sci-Fi icon it is today, not to mention the various animated series, the recent Mandalorian show and video games too. The story may end with Skywalker's The Rise but we're sure there are stories yet to be told.
