The social media giant has started testing new layouts for
Instagram stories, after the release users will be able to choose from a set of
styles for their stories.
Matt Navarra, a social media updated his followers about the
testing in a tweet. In the video he posted, you can see that users can choose
to add different images to a grid. So far there are only six grid styles and
you can only add still images to each grid.

The news about the layout option was first given by Jane Manchun
Wong, a reverse engineering expert, but now the option is in beta testing
phase. Back then, Wong had also said that Instagram will introduce new
Boomerang modes for users, giving them more creative options to express
themselves.
Although Instagram has given no news on when the boomerang
modes will be released, we can expect the new layout option to be launched
soon.
In other news, Instagram is also working on a ‘Shoutouts’
option that gives users different templates for birthdays and other special
events.
Instagram has not announced the release date of these new
tools and we will have to wait to find out when we’ll be able to use them or IF
we will be able to use them.
