How To Stay Healthy at Work
Staying healthy at work is about more than just getting a standing desk. Sure, alternating sitting and standing is better than nothing, but that alone isn’t going to keep you healthy. Office workers are increasingly sedentary, which can lead to all kinds of serious health problems down the road. It starts with a few pounds of weight gain, then the next thing you know your blood sugar and cholesterol are way up. From there it’s an uphill battle to regain your health, and most people have already given up the fight at that point anyway.

Every hour take five minutes to get in a little light exercise. It will break up the monotony of the day and give your muscles a chance to be active. Go for a walk down the block or do some lunges. If you stare at a screen all day long like most of us do, follow the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes look away for 20 seconds to a distance of at least 20 feet - this will help you reduce eye strain and all the health problems that come along with blue light exposure.
