Small businesses in the UK are eager to grow but are having a difficult time accessing the business funding needed to do so, according to a survey of business owners conducted by Boost Capital. The survey showed that 34% of UK small businesses have expansion plans in 2014 while 29% cited access to business funding as a major obstacle. Interestingly, SMEs in Northern UK showed the strongest growth aspirations but also experienced the most difficulty in securing business financing.
