An important thing to know is that your baby doesn’t need a bath on a daily basis. Baby skin is extremely sensitive and too many baths can actually be harmful for your baby’s skin and dry it out. Babies should be sponge bathed until they’re 4 weeks old before you can introduce them to bath time.
Before you start bathing your baby, make sure you've got all the equipment you need. Things to remember are:
- A mild shampoo
- A soft sponge or washcloth
- Cotton wool pads
- baby bathtub filled with warm water
- A clean soft towel
- A clean nappy
- Fresh clothes
- A changing mat
To make it easier for you, here some important numbers to remember:
- 27°C room temperature
