WhatsApp’s Latest Messaging Tool Lets Users Edit Sent Messages - Visualistan -->

WhatsApp has released yet another practical option in the app – it allows users to edit their messages after having sent them in a chat.

While the app already has a ‘delete message’ functionality for times when you make an error in your sent message, the edit tool will make the ability to make corrections easier.

There is, however, a time limit on editing sent messages, so users will have only 15 minutes in case they want to make changes to their text.

To utilize the functionality, you will need to simply long-press on a sent message, which will show you the ‘edit’ option that you can then select.

Messages that are edited will be indicated so with a marker next to them, which means that the message recipient will be able to see that you have edited your message. However, the edit history will be concealed so nobody will be able to see your original message prior to the edited one.

The option is being rolled out to all WhatsApp users around the world starting today.
