Facebook Users Can Now Control What Reels They Want to See in Main Feed - Visualistan -->

Meta has introduced new feedback options for Facebook Reels displayed in users’ feed, that allow them to control what they want to see more or less of in their feed.

At the top of the three dots menu on a Reels clip, you will now see “show more” and “show less” options. Additionally, these options will also appear at the bottom of the screen as a prompt.

By giving users more control over what Reel content they see on the app, Meta will obtain direct feedback from users to align Reels according to their preferences in an improved way. According to Meta, “selecting Show More on a Reel will temporarily increase its ranking score and for Reels like it. Selecting Show Less will temporarily decrease its ranking score.”

In addition to that, Meta is also preparing to bring contextual labels to the Reels player and adding a new Reels shelf at the top of the Watch feed. Contextual labels will help users understand why certain Reels appear in their feed, while the addition of a Reels shelf in Watch will make it easier to scroll between Reels and long-form videos.
