To make and manage to-do lists an easy task, Google is releasing a new widget for its ‘Keep’ app for Android devices. Using it, one can control their notes and lists directly on their home screen from a single note. Users can also pin multiple notes to their home screen using the Note Collection widget.

By selecting Single Note widget, you can choose the note you want on your home screen, while from the Note Collection widget, you can choose to display all notes, pinned notes, or notes under a certain label. Using the Single Note widget will also enable you to edit the note directly from your home screen, including checking / unchecking items off a list or altering text.

Adding a single note from the current Keep widget is also possible, but is not as feasible and interactive as the new widget. When you try to mark off checkboxes on the new widget, it will open up the Keep app. Additionally, it displays reminders, background colors, and images added to your notes from Keep.

Users can also sync their Keep notes with their smartwatch. Owners of Google smartwatch, Wear OS, could even manage their Keep notes and lists from their watch using the latest Keep shortcuts specifically created for this purpose.

Android users who have the Keep app installed on their devices can set up the new Keep widget by tapping ‘Widgets’ on their device’s home screen , searching for the Keep app, then adding the widget of their choice: Single Not, Note Collection, or Quick Capture. Users can then proceed to touch and hold the widget and then slide it to place it at the preferable point on the screen.
