Instagram Users Can Now Add their Avatar Images on the Other Side of Profile Photos - Visualistan -->

    Social Items

Instagram is releasing a new avatar feature in the app that lets users add their avatars to the other side of their profile pictures. Viewers can view both by flipping between the two.

‘Dynamic’ profile photos, as Instagram is calling it, can be accessed from the ‘edit profile’ option on the main profile page. Once the avatar image is added, it will automatically flip over when someone visits a profile.

This new feature is part of Meta’s larger attempt to get users of its platforms accustomed to digital representation of themselves - a key element in the Metaverse that will be seen coming to reality soon where more people will be interacting with each other using customizable avatars. At other instances, Meta has also added a range of avatar stickers and reaction tools to promote the use of digital representation.
