WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature where users’ profile
pictures appear in notifications. The feature is rolling out for iOS devices
for now and is part of the 2.22.1.1 beta
version of the app. However, only limited users can see profile pictures in
notifications, as WhatsApp is still testing the feature.
When you receive a notification from a single contact or group chat, the profile picture of the sender will appear in the notification.
The feature is not enabled for all accounts, which WhatsApp
plans to do later.
