Regulators in China have announced a new policy, according to which online gaming for minors is to be limited to three hours per week. The change has been brought as a result of increasing addiction of gaming in China.

 

According to the new rules, children in China under the age of 18 will be restricted to one hour of gaming from 8pm to 9pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; and on public holidays. Previously, the duration of the limit was 1.5 hours on most days.

 


Regulators are also adamant to collaborate with parents and schools to tackle gaming addiction amongst young people in China.
