YouTube shares its programming slate for YouTube Kids

The era in which kids used to wake up early in the morning just to catch their favorite TV shows airing belonged to the older generation. Now, the kids mostly watch the latest cartoons or shows on YouTube or their tablets or TV. Moreover, the majority of the cartoons are now rather than being aired on TV are uploaded on YouTube channels. This trend of overtaking traditional TV has transformed the watching behaviors of not only kids but adults as well.

Not only do the kids watch the shows but want to create content for YouTube as well. According to the studies, a significant number of kids from the UK and the USA have shown their interest in becoming a YouTuber as their life goal instead of becoming a pilot, an engineer or an astronaut.


Hence, due to the change in behaviors, YouTube has shared a slate of programming where the company has opted for eight new shows for YouTube Kids that also include, The Eggventurers and Book Tube Jr. moreover, the video streaming giant already has 25 additional project under development. These shows belong to educational, and child development genres that help the kids to groom and make their entire watching time beneficial.

In the previous year, the company announced to remove targeted ads from videos specific for the kids under its Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) besides, content for younger generator won’t give access to the users for comments.

In 2019, the tech giant failed to follow the COPPA rules and hence was fines massively $170 million. Therefore, YouTube has now collaborated with the experts in order to aid the company in areas such as child development, child safety and digital education.
