Facebook is reportedly working on copying Clubhouse, an invite-only social audio startup. The company aims to set up its own social audio, which is currently in the early stages of development.

A few days back, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg joined Clubhouse, where he discussed the future of Augmented and Virtual Reality, and now Facebook seems to be taking ideas from the competitor app. Copying another social network’s approach isn’t something new that Facebook could be doing, as the company has previously done this with other social apps as well, including Snapchat and TikTok, where it copied the features of Stories and Reels from, respectively.

Moreover, not just Facebook, but Twitter also seems to be developing its own Clubhouse competitor called Spaces. The company has teamed up with social podcasting company Breaker, that happens to be an expert of social audio.
