Google recently introduced a feature allowing Chrome PWAs (Progressive Web Apps) to be uninstalled directly from settings or control panel. Now, the company is reportedly planning to hide the status bar in PWAs.

The status bar is a horizontally displayed box at the bottom of the screen that shows which program and website is running.

Google has not made any official changes to the status bar yet, but the process is apparently in the testing phase. You can take a look at this future update by visiting chrome://flags on the latest version of Chrome Canary web browser.

You will also notice that under the option of “Desktop PWAs Remove Status Bar” there is a flag description that says "Hide the status bar popup in Desktop PWA app Windows, Mac, Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS", indicating that only the devices and OS mentioned will have the ability to enable this option.
