America’s multinational cooperation, General Motors is an automobile company that designs, manufactures, markets, and sells vehicles and their parts worldwide. The company has its headquarters located in Detroit. The giant automobile company redesigned its brand logo completely for the first time since 1964 in order to promote the campaign to focus more on the development of electric vehicles.
According to General Motors, the newer version of the logo has lowercase “m” which represents the shape of an electrical plug. The company invested $27 billion in the electric vehicle (EV) and autonomous vehicle (AV) and promises the launch of nearly 30 electric cars by the end of 2025. This investment is also made a part of the marketing campaign launched by the company. The campaign is launched to compete with Tesla and other electric vehicle automakers in the market.
The main purpose of redesigning a new logo was to highlight the fact that the future of the automobile industry is the electric vehicle and support the marketing campaign. GM announced the launch of their new website on January 11th, which will focus on and encourage the work of automakers in electrification and autonomous driving.
