LinkedIn is Offering Free Mindfulness Courses to Help Users Deal with COVID-19 Lockdowns

LinkedIn announced in March that it would be offering a range of online courses on LinkedIn Learning for free to assist those dealing with the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, and recently it has given an outline of six free courses that can guide people on mental health and mindfulness.

According to LinkedIn:

"Over the past month, three-times as many people watched mindfulness and stress management courses on LinkedIn Learning than the previous month. Why? Well, we think it’s safe to assume that people are looking for ways to navigate this new normal. The boundaries between work and personal are more blurred than ever. The entire family is home at all times, our friends and coworkers are physically distanced, and the places we go to fill up and recharge (aka favorite coffee shop, fitness class, place of worship, etc) are closed. And arguably most challenging of all, we’re not sure how long this will last."

Certainly, there have and will be psychological impacts caused by the pandemic especially due to the lockdowns and it is important that you keep your mental health in check during this time.

In many parts of the world, meeting friends and family in person is now restricted due to safety measures and this can have a significant effect on one's mental health. With malls, gyms, restaurants, parks, cinemas and other avenues being closed,p might find it challenging to combat stress. Therefore, in order to deal with these uncertain times, LinkedIn's learning courses are worth considering, they include:

  • Mindfulness Practices
  • How to Manage Feeling Overwhelmed
  • Balancing Work and Life
  • Manage Stress for Positive Changes
  • The Mindful Workday
  • Mindfulness Meditations for Work and Life

That's not all, LinkedIn has also made other learning courses available for free related to the pandemic that can help you get through this time. They include 'Educators transition to teaching online', 'Job seekers navigate career strategies in today's job market' and many more.

If you have some time to spare, then LinkedIn Learning courses are worth investing some hours in. Whether you are seeking to enhance your skills to improve your situation or need a few tips to combat the psychological effects of the lockdown, you will find a course for it here. And the best part is that they are free!
