Facebook has recently published an e-book called "2019 Topics and Trends Report" which comprises of a list of topics and trends that are likely to gain more momentum and grab interest in 2020.

According to Facebook, the 30-page e-book was released after a thorough examination of the conversation changes on the site during the course for two years.

The book seems like an enhanced version of Facebook’s ‘Hot Topics’ and 'Topics to Watch' reports that appeared to be successful in predicting trends and changes.

The e-book comprises of seven categories including beauty & fashion, commerce, food & drink, mind & body, entertainment, science & technology and travel & leisure.

The report has three key sub-themes that show which areas to watch out for according to the present trends.

Facebook has come a long way in its research and has teamed up with many third-party groups to confirm its results.

"We invited leading industry experts to share their perspectives on several high-level trends in “Spotlights.” We used these trends as a starting point to consider additional topics, and they provided a new lens into how they are manifesting in culture today.", said Facebook.

The new report also has findings from Stylus, a trends intelligence company.
Moreover, you can also view how popular a topic is within a category, and also see who is discussing it in terms of demographics.

This report is definitely worth a read as it will help you set your strategic planning in the future or just to keep track of what’s gaining momentum with time.
