Have you ever wondered what the most valuable substances on earth are? If you did and thought gold would be among them then you’re right. Gold is not only one of the most traded substances on earth, but it is also one of the most valuable substances by weight. If you were to buy a gram of gold it would set you back around £22/$33. So, what about other substances? Bullion Vault’s new infographic explores how much a gram of various different substances, most naturally occurring, would cost.

Looking at everything from saffron to platinum, diamond to plutonium, this infographic shows just how much a gram of each would cost. While there’s no doubt that the market for these substances differs greatly in size from that of the gold market, there is clearly some demand for most of them.
