Whenever a fictional character character fancies taking a trip around the world they need to be able to fly. And how else could the great television, movie and video game characters fly without the hard working people at fictional airlines? From Homer and Marge jetting off with Air Springfield in 'The Simpsons', to Ted Striker taking control of Trans American Airlines in 'Airplane!' - we have taken a look at some of the incredible airlines from famous fictional worlds!

Unfortunately, unlike their real-life counterparts, these fictional airlines appear to be particularly susceptible to a failure in safety regulations - causing problems that tend not to a problem in the real world. Snakes infiltrating the fuselage and food poisoning incapacitating the crew just some examples of the crazy goings on... and let's not even mention the zombies!
