Health and Safety Statistics 2014/15 #infographic
Every fatality in the workplace is a tragedy and at this time of year we get to reflect on the impact improper safety standards have on the lives on the UK workforce. That is because the UK Health and Safety Executive have released their annual Health and Safety data to the public and Bryan & Armstrong have taken that information and turned it into a detailed infographic which breaks down the number of fatalities, injuries and illnesses recorded across the UK in the 2014/15 plus their causes and how the UK performs compared to its peers in the European Union. The most striking statistic is that fatalities have actually risen year on year to 142 from 133. However, all other significant injury and illness statistics have fallen but the cost to the economy has risen to £14.3 billion from £14.2 billion. There’s plenty more data to get your teeth into in this infographic, you can look at the data based on region, the main causes of illness or see what’s causing the fatalities or injuries.
