Surgeons are currently taking the lead, earning over $360,000 on average, with anaesthetists not that far behind. Other high-paying healthcare jobs include internal medicine specialists and medical practitioners. Financial dealers and legal professionals earn about $200,000 a year, which puts them in the middle of the top 10 jobs in Australia. Mining engineers are probably the biggest surprise – this profession pays 166,410$ a year, which gives it the seventh spot in the ranking.
