English Pronunciation Learning Trends
Believing that pronunciation is important, yet neglected aspect of language learning, we decided to conduct a survey to investigate whether students are aware of the importance of pronunciation. 100 students from 47 countries participated in Saundz survey and we wanted to give visual representation of the most important findings.

Despite the widespread view of surveyed students that their teachers do not pay enough attention to pronunciation, great majority of them say learning pronunciation is important. Students also believe that possessing better pronunciation skills would result in better future opportunities and greater confidence when speaking English.

Despite the fact that English is taught as second language in most parts of the world, not all aspects of English language learning are deemed as equally important. Teachers perceive grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing skill as predominant compared to pronunciation, thus forgetting the fact that students will need good pronunciation skills when facing real-life communication situations.
