A polygraph is an instrument used for the purpose of lie detection. Today the polygraph is used and accepted within every sector of society: federal, local and private. The polygraph works by tracing changes in a person's physiological conditioning during questioning. These changes are recorded directly on to polygraph charts so that they can be reviewed. Polygraph charts are generated by attaching a minimum of 4 components to the subject.
