The number of international migrants, people living out side of their country of birth or citizenship, reached an all-time high of 232 million in 2013. The number of migrants is likely to continue increasing because of demographic and economic inequalities between countries, and revolutions in communications and transportation that enable migrants to learn about opportunities abroad and travel to take advantage of them.
