Microsoft is set to release a new design for Outlook for Mac, that it has been working on for the past one year. The new Outlook Mac design will feature Microsoft's Fluent icons, rounded corners, and other important details.
The new design is a combination of Apple's MacOS design and Microsoft's Fluent design. The overall look appears to be simpler with the Ribbon interface removed. Emails now appear in single-line views, and a new mail compose UI has been added, along with the option to ignore emails.
Outlook for Mac will now also look more customizable with the collapsible panels for the main view of emails.
Moreover, the People section will now separate out contacts and co-workers from events and email messages. Frequent contacts will be easier to spot and existing contacts can be marked as ''favorites'' as well.
