Unbeknownst to most travelers is the fact that not all bathrooms are created equal throughout the world. There are many different ways that people use toilets and the way toilets function around the world can vary from country to country. So some travelers may be surprised to see that a toilet in another country is completely open air and offers not privacy, or that you have to pay to use a restroom and toilet paper and are expected to tip on that. Because of this, Sloan has put together a comprehensive infographic that covers an international look at toilets around the world. The guide is meant to equip travelers with the knowledge needed to be able to use the public restrooms properly when traveling abroad.
