Which Regions Of Britain Are Embracing Solar Panels?
With plummeting costs causing a boom in the UK’s solar industry, a new map by The Eco Experts shows the number of solar panel installations per 10,000 households across Britain based on official data released by the government.

The South West of England is the leading region in Britain with 378 installations per 10,000 households. Scotland is the worst performing region with just 159 installations per 10,000 households.

The map also highlights London’s lack of solar panel installations despite it being in one of the best locations for harnessing solar energy in the UK. The 14 bottom local authority areas are all within Greater London. Tower Hamlets was bottom of the list, with just 10 solar installations per 10,000 households. London clearly has some catching up to do.
